During May the QM Workshop team, with support from Allied Technicians commissioned two Wagner L90 new generation log stackers for FORICO Pty Limited based in Tasmania. Logistically this was a challenging job, moving two machines via road and sea freight from the Melbourne Port to the two Tasmania mill locations, Long Reach Mill (by Launceston) and Surrey Hills (by Burnie) Both Mills produce export Eucalyptus wood chip for export with the Wagner’s unloading full truck loads for storage and then chipping. Each site had a designated assembly site and strict Health and Safety compliance for the assembly. The team did a great job working between both sites (200km apart) and the assistance from Allied technicians and FORICO Maintenance Coordinators was appreciated. Big thanks to the FORICO teams at both locations for their support, hospitality and assistance during the commissioning. We look forward to supporting FORICO with the new Log Stackers.
