The CT Site is a 24 hour/7 day operation working 365 days a year, loading and unloading containers on the trains servicing the Tauranga Container Terminal. Over the last 12 months, a total of 325,000 container lifts were undertaken, making it the busiest CT Site in New Zealand. The CT Site is a vital link in the supply chain, ensuring exports and imports move efficiently between Tauranga and Auckland.

In addition to the loading and unloading of rail, QM also run a fleet of port tractors and trailers that move full and empty containers from the rail site into and out of the Tauranga Container Terminal.
